Colegio Ward & Morioka Chuo High School
La Morioka Chuo High School (MCHS) es una escuela secundaria privada de la ciudad de Morioka, Prefectura de Iwate, ubicada al noreste de Japón. El contacto entre el Colegio Ward (CW) y la MCHS se remonta al inicio del 2011, cuando funcionarios de MCHS conocieron al CW a través de la Dra. Estela Arras, científica argentina que trabaja en el Hospital Mount Sinai de New York y vinculada con amigas y docentes del CW.
A partir del interés del MCHS por el CW, un primer contacto y el reconocimiento, se desarrolló un intercambio electrónico de correspondencia entre ambas instituciones, interesadas en el perfeccionamiento del uso del Inglés como idioma-puente a otras culturas y su rol en el desarrollo de una educación internacional.
A fines de marzo de 2012, el CW recibió la visita del Sr. Masaharu Tatsuzawa, Presidente de la Fundación Educacional Tatsuzawa Gakkan (propietaria de MCHS) junto a su representante, Sr. Takahiro Saiki. En esa ocasión, funcionarios de ambas instituciones compartieron una nutrida agenda académica y social con miembros del equipo directivo, asesores y estudiantes.
En esta ocasión, el Sr. Tatsuzawa y la Lic. Adriana Murriello, Directora General del CW, firmaron el acta de hermandad entre ambas escuelas, siendo el CW la primera institución de Argentina y de América Latina con la que firman un acuerdo.
Luego de compartir información sobre los proyectos educativos de ambas escuelas y de regocijarse en el reconocimiento mutuo de ambas culturas, el Sr. Tatsuzawa pidió permiso para anunciar que una delegación del Colegio Ward estaba invitada a participar del 14º Foro Internacional de Educación a realizarse en Morioka, Japón, a fines de agosto de 2012.
El Colegio Ward agradece la invitación de MCHS y espera tener una plena y fructífera participación durante toda su estadía en Japón.
Morioka Chuo High School (MCHS) is a private high school located in the city of Morioka, Iwate, northeast Japan. The first contact with Colegio Ward (CW) back to the beginning of 2011, when it was introduced by Dr. Estela Arras, an Argentinean scientist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, with connections with friends and teachers at CW.
Since then, and given the interest of MCHS upon CW, both schools developed an e-mail exchange concerning their experience in the use of English as a second language, as bridge to other cultures and its role in the development of an international education.
At the end of March 2012, the CW was visited by Mr. Masaharu Tatsuzawa, President of the Tatsuzawa Gakkan Educational Foundation, along with his representative, Mr. Takahiro Saiki. During their visit, the staff of both institutions shared a full agenda on academic and cultural issues, in which CW students were also involved.
Also on this occasion, Mr. Tatsuzawa and Mrs. Adriana Murriello, Headmistress of CW, signed a sister school agreement between the two schools, becoming CW the first institution of Argentina and Latin America to sign an agreement with MCHS.
Both schools shared information on their respective educational projects and rejoiced in the recognition of both cultures, Japanese and Argentinean. During tea time, Mr. Tatsuzawa asked permission to extend CW an invitation to attend the 14th Chuo International Forum to be held in Morioka, Japan, at the end of August 2012.
CW appreciates this invitation and hopes to have a full and fruitful participation throughout their stay in Japan.
